Evan Bayh, Marlin Stutzman and John Hostetler walk into a bar.
They belly-up and the first one says, “I’m Marlin Stutzman and I’m running for Senate, give me a drink.”
The second one says “”I’m John Hostettler and I’m running for Senate, give me a drink”
The third one says “Hmm.. I’m Dan coats and people tell me that sounds like a good idea. Me, too.”
In the next seat was the RNSC representative. “Great, so it’s official!”
I watched the people rise against government today. 
In the crowd were people too fragile to walk. People who could not stand for more than a few minutes. People who were spending the little bit of energy they had for the day to come and stand, (and risk rain), to rise against the government take-over of Health Care in America.
It wasn’t the protest of the 60′s with hippies and riots.. This was a group of people who have long watched our American government evolve.
These people knew there was something wrong with the proposed Obamacare.
They have something to say against the latest project to Socialize Healthcare. And it isn’t good. They are tired of interference by Government and they, of all people, know what it takes to make reform. Government isn’t the answer.
This was a group of 300+ people listened and cheered the “Hands Off My Healthcare” speakers on the kickoff of the Indiana bus tour from Patient’s First.
In Fort Wayne, IN, today one simple picture represents them all. out. Of the hundred or so pictures and video I took, one single one steeped in my memory the entire 2 hours; the one pictured here entitled “Pray”.

If you hear nothing else of the message to the government, hear the message the most earnest citizens of the U.S. have to say “Get out of our healthcare”.
Pray.
“Today is all about the people who are trying to get work,” Bayh said…..
Then why didn’t you go talk with them? Why won’t you hold meetings with them? 
Evan Bayh has decided he doesn’t need his constituents. Maybe that isn’t news to some, but he had two opportunities this week to connect with them. And he blew it.
This week he was ‘at’ (meaning within proximity) to a job fair in Fort Wayne, IN. It’s an annual event with his name attached to it. He decided he didn’t need to BE at the event, really…just hold a conference in another building near by..with media and a few ‘dignitaries’ present.
I have been to that job fair before as a reporter and as a job seeker and as a student. Each year he was in a room above the main floor, then came down to glad-hand and smile for the cameras. He had walked through the crowds and encouraged people.
I guess he had enough of his constituents for one year. He isn’t even holding town-meetings..”But right now, I feel like I’m getting a healthy dose of a wide variety of opinions across the spectrum.” (WANE) Even though, in the same interview he says it would make sense.
I had a glimmer of hope earlier in the week when Bayh put his name on a letter to Obama regarding Cap and Tax and protecting American companies. I was obviously wrong. He was only thinking of his re-election campaign at that point in time and having his name attached to the ‘complaint’ would look good in election-garbed commercials.
Marlin Stutzman is looking better and better every day, even without trying.
